Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has decided to take punitive action against noise makers following complaints from passengers. CMRL has clarified that the following activities will be categorized as ‘Nuisance’:
Music without headphones: Listening to music or watching videos/reels at loud volume without earphones or headphones.

Fast Conversation: Shouting or talking loudly within the metro train or station premises which disturbs the peace of others.
