News India Live, Digital Desk: A big revelation has come to light regarding the appointment of Assistant Professors in Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU), located in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The investigation committee of the university has found in its investigation that there are serious irregularities in the experience certificates of about 70 assistant professors. Resource Person: Many candidates have submitted certificates only for working as resource persons.
Unpaid Service: Some have claimed experience on the basis of unpaid service in colleges.
Unsanctioned posts: Many certificates are for posts which were not approved in the college.
Minor Honorarium: There are some candidates who got regular appointment by showing experience of teaching at just Rs 500 per month.
The Commission shrugged it off, now action will be taken on the report of the University Administration
The university administration had sought guidance from the University Service Commission regarding the validity of these doubtful certificates. The university had asked which of these certificates should be considered valid. According to sources, the Commission put the ball back in the court of the university and said that the university administration should conduct a thorough investigation at its level. Now the BRABU administration is preparing to send its final investigation report to the commission, on the basis of which it will be recommended to cancel the appointment of the concerned teachers.
Home Science and English teachers punished, salaries also stopped
The heat of investigation has first reached the newly appointed teachers of Home Science and English subjects. Due to discrepancy found in experience certificates, posting of many assistant professors has been stopped. Not only this, the university administration has also stopped the salaries of many teachers appointed in the Home Science department with immediate effect. ‘Tainted’ relatives of influential people also on radar, FIR will be registered
The roots of this scam appear to be quite deep. There are many teachers under investigation whose relatives hold senior political and administrative positions. The university administration has clearly indicated that if the allegations are found true in the investigation, not only will he lose his job, but an FIR will also be lodged against him on charges of forgery.
