Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially declared the final result of Head Constable (Assistant Wireless Operator/Tele-Printer Operator – AWO/TPO) recruitment examination in Delhi Police. The wait for the candidates appearing in the Computer Based Examination (CBE) is now over. A total of 6,543 candidates have been successful in this written examination, who have now been shortlisted for the next stages of the selection process.

According to the information given by the Commission, this examination was conducted in different shifts and phases, due to which the marks of the candidates have been normalized. The final merit list and cutoff marks have been prepared on the basis of this normalized score. These 6,543 candidates declared successful will now be invited for Physical Efficiency & Measurement Test (PE & MT), Document Verification and Trade Test.

Details of selected candidates in open and departmental category

The data of successful candidates under different categories and quotas in the result of this recruitment examination is as follows:

  • Open Category (Men): A total of 3,376 male candidates in this category have qualified for the next stage.

  • Open Category (Women): A total of 2,033 women candidates have been successful from the women category.

  • Ex-Servicemen: 501 male candidates have been declared successful from this special quota.

  • Departmental Quota: Under departmental quota, 420 male and 213 female candidates have been selected for the next stage.

Along with the result, the Commission has also released the category wise cutoff of male and female candidates, which is recorded as follows:

Male Candidates (Open Category):

  • General Category (UR): 79.21 points

  • EWS: 78.50 points

  • OBC: 77.42 points

  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 70.95 points

  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 67.24 points

Female Candidates (Open Category):

Big update on NCC and RRU bonus marks

The Commission has clarified that the additional bonus marks given to the candidates who have NCC certificate or degree or diploma of National Defense University (RRU) have not yet been added to this result. The benefit of bonus marks to these candidates will be given in the next stage only after verification and successful verification of their original certificates.

Strict action on misconduct: More than 60 candidates were punished

The Commission has taken strict steps to maintain the sanctity of the examination. The result of one candidate has been withheld for now as he was found involved in suspicious activities. Further, the result of 60 candidates has not been processed due to serious allegations of alleged malpractice during the examination. The Commission has completely canceled the candidature of eight other candidates who violated the rules and has also debarred (banned) them from future examinations.
