China’s mysterious bat drone, is it really more dangerous than America’s F-35?

News India Live, Digital Desk: A hunter in the sky who doesn’t even make a sound and goes away after doing his work. China has recently shown the world a glimpse of one such weapon, which looks exactly like a science-fiction movie. It is being called GJ-11 ‘Sharp Sword’ drone and due to its bat-like design, it has become a topic of discussion across the world.

Recently China has released a video of it, in which it is seen flying with fighter planes. Since then, a debate has erupted among military experts whether this pilotless aircraft (drone) will change all the rules of aerial warfare in the future?

After all, what is this GJ-11 drone?

The GJ-11 is no ordinary drone. It is a Stealth Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle. In simple language, it is a combat drone which is not easily caught by the enemy radar.[1][2] Its special ‘flying wing’ like structure helps it to dodge radar waves.

Its biggest feature is that it keeps all its weapons, such as missiles and bombs, hidden inside itself. Unless it attacks, no one can say from outside how deadly it can be. It is adept at both gathering intelligence from long distances and launching precise attacks.

Will work not alone but in a team

The scariest thing about this drone is not that it fights alone, but works in a team. China is preparing it as a ‘wingman’ i.e. a loyal companion of its most modern fighter aircraft J-20. This means that the J-20 pilot can send these drones forward into enemy territory while remaining safe.

These drones will do dangerous work like destroying enemy air defenses or attacking ground targets, keeping pilots and expensive fighter planes safe. One pilot can control multiple drones simultaneously, which will be a nightmare for the enemy.

Is it more dangerous than the F-35?

It would not be right to directly compare the GJ-11 with America’s F-35 fighter jet, because the way they work is different. The F-35 is a single-pilot fighter aircraft designed for all types of missions. At the same time, GJ-11 is a pilotless drone which is specially designed for the most dangerous missions, where the life of the pilot is in danger.

Its real danger is that it can make air combat very difficult for the enemy. Without fear of any human loss, it can enter the enemy’s territory and destroy its eyes and ears i.e. radar system, after which the threat to fighter planes like F-35 will also increase. Therefore, despite not being directly “deadlier” than the F-35, it has the potential to tilt the balance of the air war towards China.

China is also making a naval version of this drone, which can be operated from aircraft carriers, which will increase its strength manifold in the sea. This drone presents a clear picture of China’s growing military technology and future war policies.
