News India Live, Digital Desk: The slight pink cold which seemed pleasant for a few days has now suddenly turned into a shivering cold. The weather has changed rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. From Friday night itself, strong and icy winds started blowing in most parts of the state, due to which the temperature has dropped significantly. The situation is such that in many cities the night temperature has reached 13 degrees Celsius, which is the lowest so far this season.

The effect of snowfall in the mountains is visible

According to meteorologists, this change has a direct connection with the snowfall in the hilly areas, especially in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. The icy winds blowing from there are directly reaching the plains of Uttar Pradesh, due to which the cold has suddenly increased here.

There was sunshine during the day, but the winds did not provide relief

On Saturday morning, there was good sunshine in many cities of the state including Lucknow, Kanpur, Noida, Ghaziabad, but this sunshine seemed ineffective in front of the strong cold winds. There was so much cold in the air that even after standing in the sun, people were feeling shivers. As the evening approached, the chill increased even more, due to which the roads were less crowded than usual.

In cities like Bareilly and Shahjahanpur, the minimum temperature was recorded around 13 degrees, while in Lucknow also it was around 14-15 degrees.

The weather will remain like this for a few days

According to the Meteorological Department, there is no hope of relief for a few more days. Cold winds will continue to blow like this for the next two-three days, due to which the cold in the morning and evening may increase further. However, there is a possibility of clear sky and sunshine during the day.

In view of this changing weather, people have also taken out sweaters, jackets and shawls kept in the shelves. Doctors have also advised people, especially children and the elderly, to take special care to avoid cold and cough in this season.
