News India Live, Digital Desk: The results of the preliminary examination conducted for recruitment to thousands of Junior Associate (Clerk) posts in the country’s largest government bank, State Bank of India (SBI), have been released. Lakhs of candidates who had tried their luck in this examination can now check their results by visiting the official website of SBI.
It is noteworthy that SBI had started this recruitment process to fill 6589 clerk posts. For this, the first phase online prelims examination was conducted across the country on 20, 21 and 27 September 2025. Only the candidates who are successful in this examination will now be considered eligible for the next and most important stage, i.e. Mains examination.

The process of viewing the result is quite simple. You can easily download your scorecard by following these steps:
- Visit Website: First of all search SBI Careers on Google or go directly to sbi.co.in/web/careers.
- Choose the correct link: On the homepage of the website you will see the section of ‘Current Openings’. Inside this, find the link related to “Recruitment of Junior Associates”.
- Click on Result: Now you will get a link written ‘Result of Preliminary Exam’, click on it.
- Fill in your information: A new page will open where you will have to enter your registration number or roll number and password (which can be your date of birth).
- Result will be on the screen: After filling the details, your result will be in front of you as soon as you submit it. You will be able to see whether you are ‘qualified’ or ‘not qualified’ for the mains exam.
- Don’t forget to save: For future reference, take a screenshot of this page or download the scorecard and take a printout of it.
Now what next?
For the candidates who have successfully cleared the cut-off of Prelims exam, the real challenge has now begun.
- Mains Exam: The main examination i.e. Mains exam is proposed to be held on 17 November 2025. Admit cards for this will be made available on the website a few days before the examination.
- Final Selection: Candidates should note that the Prelims exam is only a screening test. Its marks will not be added to the final merit. Your final selection will entirely depend on your performance in the Mains Examination.
