What is being built on this 52 kilometer line?

This project will be known as Ghughli-Anandnagar rail line. Under this, a total of 52 km long track will be laid and 7 new railway stations and halts will be built on this route. Now people will not have to go far to catch a train. Here are the names of the new stations:

  • Anandnagar

  • Caught Naunia
  • Ghugli Crossing
  • Shikarpur
  • Pipra Munderi Halt

32 underpasses will also be built in this project so that there is no problem of traffic jam. It is believed that about 10 lakh people will get direct benefits from this new railway line.

How far has the land work reached?

To lay this big line, land from 53 villages will be required. The good news is that the land acquisition work in 29 of these villages has almost been completed. Railways has also informed the farmers whose land is coming under this project, so that they can harvest their crops on time. Soon the work will be started by installing notice boards at these places.

When will this project be completed?

This magnificent project was approved in 2023 and is targeted to be completed by 2027. For this, the government has also passed a budget of ₹958.27 crore. People believe that with the construction of these stations, the pace of development in the entire area will accelerate.

Not only here, stations are changing all over UP

This project is just a glimpse! Under Amrit Bharat Yojana, 157 old railway stations of UP are also being spruced up. Big stations like Kanpur, Kashi, Ayodhya, Lucknow and Gorakhpur are being made hi-tech with airport-like facilities, on which ₹7,695 crore is being spent.

Overall, train travel in Uttar Pradesh is going to be more comfortable and modern than ever before in the coming few years.
