The Congress State President demanded that the government should conduct an honest assessment of crop loss in all the affected districts without any delay. He said that instead of just making empty promises, the government should immediately announce a special package so that the farmers whose crops have been damaged can get immediate financial help.
He said that this is the time to stand with the farmers. The farmers of the state were already struggling with inflation, shortage of fertilizers and seeds and the problem of stray animals, now this rain has broken even their remaining hopes. Congress Party stands with the farmers in their struggle and will continue to fight for their rights.
