The legal noose is continuously tightening in the famous case of theft of offerings and donations from the historical Ram temple in Ayodhya. All the eight accused arrested in this sensational case will remain behind the bars for the time being. On Monday, the Anti Corruption Court, while hearing through video conferencing, extended the judicial custody of all the accused till August 10. The police have already taken all these accused on custodial remand and interrogated them strictly, during which many important clues and properties have been recovered on their trail.

Big revelations made in police remand, car and jewelery recovered

During the investigation, the officers took major action on the trail of the accused who were on police remand and recovered three cars, a motorcycle, huge amount of cash and gold and silver jewellery. The police team also took the accused to their hideouts, where the entire scene of the crime was recreated on the spot. After the initial report of the SIT was submitted to the government, an FIR was registered and Avinash Shukla, Anukalp Mishra, Karunesh Pandey, Lavkush Mishra, Subhash Srivastava, Ramashankar Mishra, Ramshankar Yadav Tinnu and Manish Yadav were arrested. The police are now closely investigating the mobile chat and call details of the accused to gather the exact figure of the total amount stolen, in which it was revealed that the stolen money was spent on the stock market and interest.

Relief to accused Subhash Srivastava from court, permission to withdraw pension

Subhash Srivastava, another accused in the case and accused of theft of Ram temple offering, has got a big relief from the court. Anti-corruption judge Rajat Verma, while hearing the application of the defence, has ordered that Subhash will be able to withdraw the pension amount credited to his account after June 26. The investigator, in his report, had also not raised any objection to unfreezing the amount in the account after June 25. However, for filing objections on the cases of withdrawal of amount before June 26, the court has fixed the date of July 30, in which defense counsel Kulshekhar Singh will submit reply on suspicious transaction of Rs 30,000 and other legal points.
