Varanasi, 01 April (HS). The final match of the 28th Inter Corps PAC East Zone Hockey Competition was played on Monday on the Astroturf hockey field at the Amphitheater ground of BHU. In the match, 36th Corps PAC Ramnagar, Varanasi won the trophy by defeating 34th Corps PAC, Varanasi 3-0. Before the start of the match, Dr. Anil Kumar Pandey (IPS), Organizing Secretary/Commander, 36th Corps, along with the team manager got introduced to the players. The commander wished the players all the best. After this the match started.
In a close contest, 36th Corps PAC Ramnagar, Varanasi won the match 3-0. During this, Pankaj Pandey (Commander, 34th Corps) was also present. Chal Vyjayanti was given to the winning team in the prize distribution ceremony. All the players were rewarded with medals.
The title of best player of the tournament was given to Mohammad Naushad -36th Corps. Both the commanders appreciated the game of the winning team and inspired them to increase their pace further. At the conclusion of the game the flag was lowered as per rules. The soldiers marched past. Rajesh Kumar – Assistant Commander, Kailash Nath Yadav – Camp Commander, Ajit Pratap Singh – Commander, Bhagwan Singh Yadav – Subedar Major, PC Sanjay Singh, Paramhans Yadav, Shriram Singh were also present in the program.
