TMU students visit dope testing laboratory

Moradabad, 01 April (Hindustan Reporter) Students of the Department of Forensic Science, College of Paramedical Sciences, Tirthankar Mahavir University, Moradabad, conducted an educational visit to the National Dope Testing Laboratory-NDTL on Monday. During the visit, the students learned in detail about the sample collection and testing methodology of drugs and steroids used in sports. At NDTL, students also learned about sample preparation, chain of custody along with the functioning of GCMS, HPLC, GCIRMS, HRMS, immunoassay instruments and testing of growth hormones.

On this occasion, NDTL Director Prof. PL Sahu said that students are the future of the country. There are immense career possibilities in the field of forensics. Complete focus is necessary for success in any area of ​​life. Students also asked various questions related to doping, hormones, sports forensics etc. to Prof. Did it with Sahu. On this occasion, Faculties – HOD Mr. Ravi Kumar, Mr. Yogesh Kumar, Ms. Anshika Srivastava along with students of MSc Forensics – Ajay Pratap, Anjali Verma, Ishika Saxena, Sunubiya Rehman etc. were present.
