Ahmedabad Meteorological Center Director A.K. Das said that the departure line of south-west monsoon is passing over Veraval, Bharuch, Jhansi, Ujjain and Shahjahanpur. Conditions are favorable for the departure of Southwest Monsoon into other parts of the state, Madhya Pradesh, parts of Uttar Pradesh and parts of Maharashtra during the next three-four days. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is sporadic rain in Central Gujarat. There have been rain showers in many districts since this morning. Winds can blow at a speed of 40 kilometers on the coast of Saurashtra. Rain has been predicted in Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Kutch of Saurashtra.

The weather department has predicted rain for the next seven days. There will be rainy weather in the state for the next three days. The impact of the cyclone may be less in Gujarat. Cyclone ‘Shakti’, which was active in the Arabian Sea, is now slowing down and weakening and will soon turn into a deep pressure area. This system has also become active over East and Northeast India. The Shakti cyclone active in the Arabian Sea has now weakened. Cyclone Shakti is 900 km away from Dwarka-Naliya. It will turn from a cyclone to a depression, due to the impact of this cyclone there is a possibility of light rain over South Gujarat, Saurashtra-Kutch. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, this cyclone can cause rain in Gujarat till October 10.

As a precautionary measure, there is an alert that wind will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 km/hour on the coast and hence fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea. Monsoon may also depart from other districts of the state in the next three-four days. DC-1 signal has been installed on the coast. Sporadic showers may also occur in some areas bordering Madhya Pradesh and North Gujarat. Rain has been predicted in Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Kutch of Saurashtra. There may be rain in Gujarat due to moisture from the Bay of Bengal and western disturbance. Amidst the departure of monsoon, the state has once again seen rainy season.

A cyclonic circulation is over the upper air region of East Uttar Pradesh, North-East Bihar and Assam. Due to its effect, there will be rain in West Bengal and Sikkim till October 8. There is a possibility of rain in many parts of the state on the 8th. Its impact can be especially seen in the coastal talukas of Kutch (Kandla, Mandvi, Mundra, Gandhidham, Naliya) and coastal areas of Saurashtra (Dwarka, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Gir Somnath, Junagadh). There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall in these areas. There may be rain in Gujarat due to moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal and western disturbance.
