Heavy rain havoc in Hapur! Water filled on roads, DM ordered all schools to close

The rains in Delhi-NCR for the last two days have now started showing their impact in Hapur district. The torrential rains from Wednesday night are not taking the name of stopping, due to which a serious condition of waterlogging has arisen in the entire city. In view of the seriousness of the situation and the safety of children, the district administration has taken a big and important decision.

All schools in the district will be closed today

Hapur District Magistrate (DM) Medha Rupam has declared a holiday in all schools in the district on Thursday, September 4, 2025 today. This order will be applicable to all government and private schools in the district, including classes from nursery to 12th.

Why was this decision taken?

This decision has been taken due to continuous rains since Wednesday night. Due to rain, most areas and villages of the city have been flooded on the streets. School going roads have been built ponds, due to which children and teachers may have to face huge difficulties in reaching the school. In such a situation, this order has been issued, giving the first priority to avoid any kind of untoward and safety of children.

City’s condition

Heavy rains have also severely affected normal life. The speed of traffic has slowed down due to water filling on the roads and there are reports of water entering the houses built in the low -lying areas. The Meteorological Department has predicted the continuation of rain further, in view of which the administration is completely on alert.

The district administration has appealed to all the parents not to send their children to school today and keep them safe at home. Schools have also been instructed to strictly follow this order.
