Record breaking registration, this time the journey will run 10 days more

Preparations for Chardham Yatra 2025 in Uttarakhand are in full swing. With the announcement of the dates of opening the doors of the yatra, the government has started the work of fixing the arrangements. The online registration figure started from March 21 has reached close to 8 lakhs, which shows the tremendous enthusiasm of the devotees.

Tremendous increase in registration

By 5 pm on Tuesday evening, 747,699 devotees registered for the four dhams. In these –

• Yamunotri Dham: 134,376

• Gangotri Dham: 138,258

• Kedarnath Dham: 242,038

• Badrinath Dham: 224,493

Last year, 48 lakh devotees arrived in the Chardham Yatra in 2024. This year the journey will run for 10 days more, which is expected to create a new record in the number of visitors.

Chardham Yatra 2025: When will the doors open?

• Gangotri-Yamunotri Dham: 30 April

• Kedarnath Dham: 2 May

• Badrinath Dham: 4 May

• Hemkund Sahib: 25 May

This year the journey starts from April 30, which will begin 10 days ago compared to the previous year.

Government preparations: Special focus on facilities

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed the officials to complete all the preparations for the yatra on time.

• Special attention is being paid to road, electricity, water and health facilities.

• The work of removing snow from the paths of Kedarnath Dham has started, where more than 50 laborers have been deployed.

Aadhaar card compulsory, ban on fraud

Linking Aadhaar card has been made mandatory in Chardham Yatra. Pilgrims believe that this will prevent fraud and make the journey more secure.

Expectations for traveling in 2025

There is a possibility of increasing a record number of devotees in the time of travel time and registration. The government is also gearing up to ensure better facilities. This time Chardham Yatra is expected to be grand and streamlined.
