The Uttarakhand government has decided to strictly implement traffic rules during this year’s Chardham Yatra. On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, all states will be issued advisory related to traffic rules to be followed during the visit. Under this, there will be a complete ban from bringing passengers into inappropriate vehicles like trucks and tractors.

Strictly adherence to traffic rules

Devotees coming from two -wheelers during the Chardham Yatra will have to strictly follow the helmets, speed limits and safety standards. The experience of driving in hilly areas will be mandatory for the drivers of commercial vehicles that bring passengers on the mountainous routes.

Since the monsoon season also starts during the journey, which increases the risk of road accidents and natural disasters in many areas, so special arrangements are being made for the safety of passengers.

Extensive arrangements for safety of passengers

Transport Secretary Brijesh Kumar Sant said that this time lakhs of devotees will come on the Chardham Yatra, whose many strict steps are being taken to ensure the convenience and security. Following traffic rules in sensitive areas and safety measures will be strictly implemented. For this, all the transport officials have been entrusted with their responsibilities, and soon other states of the country will also be sent advisory.

Special initiative for cleanliness

Dustbin and garbage bags will be made mandatory in vehicles to maintain the hygiene of travel routes. Passengers will use these dustbins instead of throwing garbage on the road and later it will have to put it in the dustbins made by the government. This will help to keep the Chardham Yatra route clean and environmentally friendly.

The aim of these steps of the government is to prioritize the safety and convenience of the passengers and make the journey a systematic and clean.
