Small, midcap stocks drowned 4.09 lakh crore rupees of investors in a single day

Mumbai: In the Indian stock markets struggling with recession, small, midcap stocks saw extraordinary universal boom today. Investors were feeling twelve of millions. Retail investors as well as investors with high net worth the stock market for the last five years have been absorbed in the market in a short period of four months.

On Monday, the assets of investors in small and midcap stocks have suffered an additional loss of Rs 4.09 lakh crore in small and midcap shares. The BSE Small Cap Index fell 3.51 per cent or 1761.14 points to 48346.37. Which came down to 47959. Out of 939 shares trading on the BSE Small Cap, 871 shares declined today. While only 67 stocks were positive.

The accumulated assets of BSE Small Cap shares fell by Rs 2,48,713 crore to Rs 70,78,259 crore today. While the BSE Mid Cap index fell 1144.03 points to 41571.60. Which came down to 41453.37.

Investors’ asset-market cap in BSE midcap shares declined by Rs 1,60,690 crore to Rs 62,65,247 crore today. Out of 132 shares of BSE Mid Cap, 118 shares were negative today while only 14 shares closed positively.
