New Delhi: Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba is scheduled to visit India later this month to request India's support in peace talks. This will be India's first visit to Kuleba after Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.
While giving this information, sources in the Ministry of External Affairs said that along with Kuleba, a high level delegation is also scheduled to visit India. During his visit to Kulela, External Affairs Minister S. Will co-chair the India-Ukraine Inter-Governmental Commission meeting with Jaishankar. This will be the first meeting of this commission after 2018.
This visit of Kulema has not been officially announced but sources say that this visit is almost certain. Meanwhile, the 10-point peace proposal presented by Zelensky will also be discussed at the peace summit to be held in Geneva, Switzerland in 2022.
China's ambassador to Switzerland said Monday that Beijing will consider whether to participate in peace talks.
Whereas, Kuleba had called Jaishankar for the first time on January 3 last year. In which India's point of view was discussed. Along with this, the increasing aggression from Russia was also discussed.
India has so far avoided holding Russia publicly responsible for the war. He also refrained from reprimanding Russia for that war in the G-20 conference. After that, during Thonila Raisi's tenure in the country, Indian External Affairs Ministry officials Vinay Kawatra and Vikram Mishra talked to Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Ministers Emin Japarova and Irina Borovar.
