Mumbai: Gold and silver prices rose in Mumbai's jewelery market today. World market news was showing progress. As funds started buying in the world market, gold prices rose from $2155 to $2156 an ounce to $2162 to $2163 an ounce.
Behind gold, the global price of silver also rose to $25.31 to $25.32 an ounce from $25.18 to $25.19 an ounce. In the domestic market, today the price of gold in Ahmedabad market increased by Rs 100 per 10 grams from Rs 99.50 to Rs 67600 and from Rs 67800 to Rs 99.90. Ahmedabad silver price was Rs 74000 per kg.
A situation of shortage in the global supply of crude oil has been observed. The price of Brent crude increased from 85.34 to 86.29 to 85.69 dollars per barrel. The price of US crude increased from 81.04 to 81.35 to 82.04 dollars.
The price of platinum in the world market was $927. The price of palladium was $1061. In Mumbai bullion market today, gold prices without GST ranged from Rs 65,009 to Rs 65,350 and Rs 65,200 to Rs 99.50. Whereas the price of 99.90 was Rs 65450 to Rs 65270 to Rs 65612. Mumbai silver prices rose from Rs 73,875 to Rs 73,772 to Rs 73,156.
The dollar price of Rs 82.89 opened this morning at Rs 82.85, lowest price was Rs 82.82, highest price was Rs 82.92 and last closing price was Rs 82.91.
