Punjab Women Commission took action against Dhami, issued notice and sought reply within 4 days

Chandigarh: Taking suo motu cognizance, the Women’s Commission has issued a notice against SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami. By issuing this notice, Dhami has been asked to reply within 4 days. Women Commission Chairperson Raj Lali Gill said that apologizing for using abusive language is not enough. He has also appealed to SGPC to remove Dhami from the post. Raj Lali Gill said that the gurus have given respect to women, but Dhami has spoiled it.

It is noteworthy that Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee Chairman Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami had abused Bibi Jagir Kaur while talking to a social media channel on phone. Due to which there was anger among the Panthak circles. In this regard, Advocate Dhami has apologized for the abusive words used in his petition at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and has asked to follow every order of Sri Akal Takht Sahib in this regard.
