Another case has been registered in connection with the violence in Chattogram against Hindu saint Chinmay Krishna Das Brahmachari and others, who are behind bars in Bangladesh on treason and other serious charges. Brahmachari could not get bail from the court yesterday. The court will hear his bail plea on January 2 next year.
According to bdnews24.com, a case was filed by businessman Mohammad Ullah against 38-year-old Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari at the Kotwali police station in the port city on Tuesday. Police station in-charge Abdul Karim said that Mohammad Ullah has made serious allegations in the complaint. Mohammed said he had gone to a lawyer’s chambers at the Chattogram Court Building on November 26 to seek legal assistance in business-related matters. While returning, he was beaten up and six thousand rupees were snatched.
