Raj Thackeray’s tension has increased after the defeat in Maharashtra. There is a strong discussion in the political circles that the Election Commission may cancel the recognition of Raj Thackeray’s party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena. According to experts, if at least one assembly seat or 8 percent vote share is not obtained in the assembly elections, the recognition may be lost.
MNS account not opened
Amidst this tension, Raj Thackeray has called a meeting of party leaders at his home today. Poor performance in the elections and further strategy can be discussed in the meeting. MNS’s deposit was forfeited in Maharashtra elections. Raj Thackeray’s party could not win even a single seat. Raj Thackeray, including his son Amit Thackeray, fielded candidates on 125 seats, but MNS did not open its account on even a single seat.
What percentage of votes did MNS get?
According to the Election Commission, MNS got only 1.55 percent votes in Maharashtra elections. Even Raj Thackeray’s son could not win the election. Amit Thackeray had to face a crushing defeat in Mahim assembly seat. Uddhav group leader Mahesh Sawat defeated Amit Thackeray. Amit Thackeray is at third place in Mahim. Amit got 33062 votes. Ajit Group leader Sada Saravankar (48897 votes) stood second.
Who got how many seats in Maharashtra?
It is noteworthy that Mahayuti has won a huge victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. BJP has emerged as the largest party. It has broken all the records till now. In Maharashtra, BJP got 132 seats, Shinde’s Shiv Sena got 57 seats and Ajit’s NCP got 41 seats. NDA has got a total of 230 seats. While in Mahavikas Aghadi, Uddhav’s Shiv Sena (UBT) got 20 seats, Congress got 16 seats and Sharad Pawar’s NCP got 10 seats. Maha Vikas Aghadi got a total of 46 seats. The remaining 12 seats were won by other parties or independents.
