Maharashtra Elections 2024: Sharad Pawar has suffered a big setback before the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The Supreme Court has rejected Ajit Pawar's demand not to use the watch as an election target. NCP (Sharad Pawar) had filed a petition in the Supreme Court on 2 October. In which Ajit Pawar had demanded a ban on the use of election symbol clock.

Ajit Pawar will have to give an affidavit

The Supreme Court sought an affidavit from Ajit Pawar and asked him to write with a clock mark to comply with the disclaimer order pending in the court. Justice Surya Kant said, 'We will give Ajit Pawar a chance to reply. In which he gives an affidavit that our order will not be violated in future. Apart from this it is said that we have not done this before. Ajit Pawar should give an affidavit that he is following our orders of March 19 and April 4. The next hearing in this case will be on 6 November.

Sharad Pawar's lawyer's allegation

The Election Commission declared Ajit Pawar's NCP as genuine and gave it the right to use the party symbol (clock). During the dispute in the court, Sharad Pawar's lawyer Abhishek Manu Sindhvi said, 'In the hearing held in March, the court had ordered the Election Commission to allot the election symbol for us. Ajit Pawar said that he will write with a clock mark that the matter is still pending in the court. He did not follow it properly. People recognize the clock icon from Sharad Pawar. Ajit Pawar has not put the disclaimer as per the court order. We have given the picture to the court. Now he should be punished for this.

charge of not claiming

On this subject, Ajit Pawar's lawyer Balbir Singh said, 'We should show some responsibility. Wrong pictures are being presented in the court. The tent house owner may make a mistake in one or two matters. We cannot be accused on that basis. These pictures have been presented directly in the court. How can we suddenly answer this? We should have got a copy of this application earlier. Sharad Pawar's group had also said the same things during the Lok Sabha elections. The court has left us a mark of surveillance, now this petition should not be heard.
