Pilgrims will not have to worry about their health to visit Maa Vaishno Devi, Shrine Board started health services.

area: There is good news for the devotees of Mother Vaishno Devi. Anshul Garg, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, inaugurated the Pradhan Mantri Bharati Jan Aushadhi Kendra at the building to provide health services to the employees of the Shrine Board and related agencies deployed in the building and surrounding areas. The newly established 'PMBJK' in the building aims to provide quality healthcare at affordable prices.

This initiative will benefit lakhs of pilgrims who come on pilgrimage every year. This will facilitate access to affordable generic medicines, medical equipment and essential health care products by officials in the field.

Medical care will be available if needed

The CEO affirmed the efforts of the Board to enhance the health care infrastructure along the pilgrimage route, to ensure that pilgrims have a fulfilling experience and get affordable medical care when needed.

He emphasized that affordable healthcare is an important aspect of the pilgrimage and the Board is proud to provide this service at the pilgrimage site. To cater to the medical needs of the pilgrims, the Board is running seven functional medical units equipped with various modern medical equipment on the track to deal with emergencies round the clock.

Standby ambulances are also available for immediate transfer of patients to the referring hospital for specialized medical care. In addition, a community hospital at Katra and a 300-bed hospital of the Shrine Board, about nine kilometers from Katra, are also available to cater to all the medical needs of the pilgrims.
