The sale of tickets for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, to be played in the UAE early next month, has started on Wednesday. The lowest ticket is five dirhams (about Rs 114).
The first match of the tournament will be played from October 3 and in such a situation, the sale of tickets has started a week before the start of the event. This ICC event was earlier to be played in Bangladesh but due to political tensions, its hosting has been handed over to the UAE. The ICC said that the ticket prices have been fixed keeping in mind the budget of the spectators. The price of a ticket for a premium seat is 40 dirhams (about Rs 910). On the day when two matches are played, a single ticket will provide entry to both the matches. Patrons under the age of 18 will be given free entry. 10 countries including defending champions Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and West Indies will participate in the Women's T20 World Cup. The final match will be played on October 20.
