Mathura, 25 September (HS). For the promotion of Sanjhi art, which is one of the ancient folk arts of Braj, Uttar Pradesh Braj Tirtha Vikas Parishad is organizing Sanjhi Mahotsav from 28 September. In this five-day Sanjhi Mahotsav, many folk artists will exhibit their art at Raskhan Samadhi Sthal. This information was given by CEO of Uttar Pradesh Braj Tirtha Vikas Parishad Shyam Bahadur Singh on Wednesday evening.
Regarding the event to be held at Mahakavi Raskhan and Taj Bibi Samadhi Sthal Complex located at Mahavan Ramanreti, CEO of Uttar Pradesh Braj Tirth Vikas Parishad Shyam Bahadur Singh said that this time the five-day Sanjhi Mahotsav is going to be organized from 28 September to 2 October. Its purpose is to take this ancient folk art of Braj to the people coming from Braj as well as the country and abroad. This is the ancient folk art of Braj.
He informed that during the Sanjhi Mahotsav, on September 28, from 5 to 7 pm at the Raskhan Samadhi Open Air Theatre, there will be Kathak dance by Dr. Meera Dixit, pad gayan by Gopal Prasad, bhajan evening by Bihari Sharan on the 29th, Haveli music by Mayur Koshik on the 30th, Makhan Chori Leela by Geeta Shodh Sansthan & Rasleela Academy Vrindavan and Shri Narhari Seva Sansthan on October 1 and a lecture on Raskhan's poems and Sanjhi in Braj by Puran Prakash on October 2. Along with this, from 11 am to 5 pm every day, performances of Sanjhi on canvas, Sanjhi of dry colours, Rangoli, cow dung Sanjhi will be seen by various groups and artists.
