News India Live, Digital Desk: The holy festival of Diwali is just knocking at the door, and this time the happiness is going to be double for lakhs of students of Uttar Pradesh! If you too are eagerly waiting for your scholarship in UP, then this news is no less than a big good news for you. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is going to transfer scholarship money directly to the accounts of about 55 lakh students of the state on October 17, 2025. This is a very important initiative of the Yogi government, through which thousands of families will get financial assistance just before Diwali and they will be able to celebrate the festival with great joy.

Which students will be deserving of this big gift?

CM Yogi will organize a special program on October 17 at Lok Bhawan, Lucknow. In this, he will release this scholarship amount for about 14 lakh students studying in ‘Pre-matric’, i.e. class 9th and 10th, and ‘Post-matric’, i.e. about 41 lakh students studying in class 11th, 12th as well as graduation, post graduation and other professional courses. This ‘UP Scholarship Scheme 2025’ provides financial assistance to poor and needy students of all sections of Uttar Pradesh, so that they can continue their studies without any financial hindrance.

Money directly into bank accounts, no fraud!

The scholarship money will be sent directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). This process ensures that the money reaches the eligible students directly and without any middlemen. In this program, CM Yogi Adityanath himself will transfer this amount through virtual medium and will also symbolically give scholarship certificates on the stage to some selected 12 students. ‘CM Yogi’s scholarship distribution’ is a big relief for the students, which will also maintain transparency.

There will be big relief before Diwali:

The Uttar Pradesh government is continuously committed to providing quality education to the students and not allowing any financial hindrance in their studies. By receiving scholarship money just before a big and expensive festival like Diwali, students will be able to buy necessary books, notebooks and other study materials, pay their school-college fees and most importantly, they will be able to support their families financially. This is the ‘government gift of Diwali’, which will also bring positive changes in the field of education. The Chief Minister also said that before 2017, students often faced discrimination in getting scholarships and they did not get the amount on time, but now by sending money on time and directly into the accounts, this problem has been permanently solved.

This initiative is part of the Yogi government’s policy of providing ‘financial assistance to those meritorious students’ who have the courage to fulfill their dreams. ‘Uttar Pradesh Student Welfare Schemes’ is a big step towards strengthening the future of the state.
