15 killed including 9 Indian citizens in a horrific road accident in Saudi Arabia

In a terrible road accident in Jizan region of Saudi Arabia, 15 people lost their lives, including 9 Indian citizens. The accident occurred on Sunday when a bus hit the trailer. Jeddah of Jizan, which is the main entrance of Mecca, the most sacred place of Islam, is the site of this accident.

The Indian Consulate on Wednesday confirmed that it was providing all possible assistance to the families of the victims. 11 people have been injured in this accident, including two Indian citizens, who are said to be residents of Telangana state. The injured are undergoing treatment in local hospitals.

The Indian Consulate has expressed deep grief over the incident. The embassy said on the social media platform x, “We express deep condolences to the families affected by this tragic incident and wish for early health benefits of the injured. Special helpline has been started to help family members. ”

Foreign Minister Jaishankar’s statement

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar also expressed grief over this incident. He wrote on X, “It was deeply saddened to know about this tragic accident and loss of life and property. I have spoken to the Indian Counsel General in Jeddah, who are in touch with the affected families and are providing all possible help. ”

Details of the accident

According to reports, the accident occurred when a bus carrying 26 workers collided with a trailer in Wadi bin Hashbal area. The dead include six citizens of Nepal and Ghana. The local administration is investigating the cause of the accident.
