Before Republic Day, the Home Ministry has announced the Padma Awards for 2025. This time a total of 139 celebrities will be awarded this prestigious honour. These include 23 women, 10 foreign nationals and 13 posthumous awards. The special thing is that in view of the election year, many eminent personalities of Bihar, among whom Sushil Modi’s name is prominent, have also been given a place in this list.
These awards are presented to those who have made outstanding contributions in fields such as arts, literature, science, social service, public affairs, medicine, education, sports and business. This year’s list is supposed to be a reflection of diversity and inclusivity.
