Lucknow, 22 September. The Yogi government is continuously trying to ensure power supply in the state as per the scheduled schedule. In this sequence, Principal Secretary Energy and Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ranveer Prasad reviewed the electricity supply of the state. He directed to make efforts on a war footing to provide electricity as per the prescribed schedule in all areas. Ranveer Prasad said that to ensure power supply, necessary arrangements should be made from wherever possible. He stressed on preparing better plans for alternative arrangements so that power supply is not affected due to shortage of coal in future.
The Principal Secretary directed that feeder wise monitoring of the supply should be done. Also, to make the power distribution system more effective, officials were instructed to give results with a clear action plan. He took information about the status of electricity supply in urban, tehsil and rural areas, data of feeder meters and various parameters related to the distribution system. The Chairman said that wherever deficiencies are found by regularly analyzing the feeder level data, immediate corrective action should be taken. Regular action should be taken by making feeder wise action plan in feeders and areas with high line losses.
The Chairman also reviewed the works of the State Distribution Corporation. He directed that in view of the upcoming festivals, an effective plan should be made from now on, so that uninterrupted power supply to all can be ensured during that time. The Chairman directed that all the Managing Directors at the Discom level should review the power supply daily. Send a detailed report to Lucknow. In which there will be information about district wise feeder. Complete information about the breakdown will be given. Similarly, information about roasting will also be feeder wise.
He said that feeder wise report should be called every two hours in the control room at the discom level. In which information about any feeder can be sought anytime. In this meeting held at Shakti Bhawan, he reviewed issues like electricity supply, strengthening of systemic structure, bill distribution, bill collection, preventing electricity theft, effective control on electrical accidents and ensuring quality in electrical works etc. and gave necessary instructions. The Chairman directed that senior officials of power corporations should contact the consumers of independent feeders to take feedback on power supply and ensure better power supply.
The Chairman gave strict instructions to complete the work of the business plan on time.
