Why is Rang Panchami celebrated? (Significance)
It is believed that on the day of Rang Panchami, Gods and Goddesses come to earth and play Holi with Gulal with the devotees. In the air instead of colors on this day ‘Abir-Gulal’ Is blown up. Avoid Tamasic Food: Do not consume meat, alcohol or garlic and onion at home on this day. This is the festival of purity.
Don’t insult anyone: While applying colors or spraying gulal, do not put colors on anyone without their consent and do not use abusive words.
Do not worship in the dark: In the evening, definitely light a lamp at the main entrance of the house. Keeping it dark invites poverty.
Use of dirty colors: Do not use chemical or black colors in the celebration of Gods. Use only pure gulal or natural colours.
Do not touch basil: Do not touch the Tulsi plant with colored hands or without taking bath.
