Actor Ashish Kapoor, who has worked in many popular TV serials like ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ and ‘Molki’, has been arrested by Delhi Police from Pune in a serious rape case. The 33 -year -old actor has been accused of rape by a 27 -year -old woman, after which the police have taken this action.
What is the whole matter?
According to the complaining woman, she met Ashish Kapoor through Instagram. It is accused that Ashish raped her in the bathroom during a house party held at a friend’s house in the Civil Lines area of Delhi in August.
There was a more sensational turn in the case when it was found that after the quarrel, the PCR call was made by the wife of Ashish’s friend.

This case is not as straightforward as it looks. According to police sources, the woman has changed her statements several times.
- Initial FIR: The FIR was first named in the FIR actor Ashish Kapoor, his friend, friend’s wife and two others.
- Changed statement: A few days later, on August 18, the woman, changing her statement, accused Ashish Kapoor and his friend of rape and accused the friend’s wife of assault.
- Related statement again in court: Later, when Ashish’s friend and his wife got anticipatory bail, the woman did not take the name of the friend in her statements during the hearing.
When the police investigated, CCTV footage and statements of witnesses revealed that Ashish Kapoor and the woman had gone to the washroom together. When he did not come out for a long time, the guests present in the party started knocking on the door, after which there was a fight.
Currently, the police has brought Ashish Kapoor to Delhi from Pune and is investigating the matter deeply. The arrest of the actor has created a stir in the TV industry.
