According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), today i.e. 9 February 2026 a new one from Western Disturbance Is becoming active, which will increase the cold in the plains of North India and will spread snow cover on the mountains.

Snowfall and rain alert on mountains

According to the latest bulletin of the Meteorological Department, weather activities will remain intense in the western Himalayan regions between today and February 11.

Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh: There is a strong possibility of sporadic rain and snowfall along with thunderstorms here today.

Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand: Light to moderate rain may occur in lower areas along with snowfall in higher reaches. There has also been a warning of frost in some districts of Uttarakhand.

Fog in Delhi-NCR and UP

Despite sunshine in the plains, melting will continue in the morning and night.

Delhi-NCR: maximum temperature today 23°C – 25°C and minimum temperature 10°C – 11°C Will be around. There are less chances of rain, but cold winds can increase shivering.

Uttar Pradesh and Bihar: In Terai areas of UP and many districts of Bihar Dense Fog An alert has been issued. Visibility may drop to zero in areas like Gorakhpur and Bareilly.

Condition of Rajasthan and Central India
