News India Live, Digital Desk: The weather has suddenly changed in Jharkhand and cold has set in. Due to the effect of northern icy winds, the temperature has dropped rapidly in many districts of the state, due to which people have started feeling shivering. In view of this situation, the Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave warning for seven districts of the state till November 15.

According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of cold wave will be seen in Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla and Simdega, for which ‘Yellow Alert’ has also been issued. In these areas, the night temperature may fall further by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, due to which the minimum temperature is likely to go below 10 degrees.

Gumla remained the coldest, mercury dropped in Ranchi also

A significant drop in temperature has been recorded in many parts of the state during the last 24 hours. Gumla district was the coldest, where the minimum temperature reached 7.2 degrees Celsius. At the same time, in the capital Ranchi also the minimum temperature recorded on Wednesday was 10.7 degrees Celsius, which is about three degrees less than normal.[InKhuntialsothemercuryhasdroppedto81degrees[खूंटीमेंभीपारा81डिग्रीतकलुढ़कगयाहै।

This sudden increase in cold is the result of icy winds coming from the Himalayas. Meteorologists say that due to the clear sky, the direct effect of these cold winds is visible, due to which there is darkness from night till morning. Although there is some relief due to sunshine during the day, the coolness in the air remains.

Difficulties will increase due to fog in the morning

The Meteorological Department has also indicated this. Dense fog may prevail in many areas in the morning for the next few days. This may reduce visibility on the roads, in view of which drivers have been advised to take special caution.

People, especially children and the elderly, have been advised to take adequate precautions to avoid cold. People have been appealed to wear warm clothes and avoid leaving the house unnecessarily in the morning and evening.
