The Meteorological Center has issued red and orange alerts regarding heavy rains and strong winds in many important districts of the state including Ranchi, Bokaro. The administration has advised people to be alert and stay in safe places.
Danger looms over these districts, wind will blow at a speed of 65 km per hour
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the wind speed during this period can reach 50 to 65 kilometers per hour, which is much higher than normal. These strong winds accompanied by heavy rains can prove dangerous for mud houses and trees and plants. The maximum impact of the weather will be seen mainly in districts like Ranchi, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh and Simdega. The department has clarified that along with lightning, there is a strong possibility of lightning in many areas, for which villagers have been asked to take special precautions.
Administration issued advisory, appealed to people to be cautious
Due to continuous rains, waterlogging may occur in low-lying areas. The State Disaster Management Department has appealed to the general public not to stand under trees or near old dilapidated buildings during the rains. Also, farmers have been instructed to exercise special caution while working in their fields. People traveling have been advised to postpone long distance travel for the next three days, unless absolutely necessary. There is also a possibility of traffic disruption due to bad weather, so drive carefully on the roads.
Electricity and basic services may be affected
This weather attack is likely to have a direct impact on the basic services of the state, especially power supply. Due to strong winds, there may be incidents of falling of electric poles and breaking of wires, due to which there is a possibility of power outage for hours in many areas.
