Dehradun: The weather patterns in Uttarakhand are increasing the problems of the people these days. While frost has started falling on the mountains, the chill of morning and evening has increased in the plains. The condition of the weather is such that the strong sunlight is making people feel hot during the day, while at night the mercury is falling rapidly, due to which severe cold is being felt.
Huge difference in day and night temperatures
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is currently dry in Uttarakhand, but there is a big difference in day and night temperatures. The situation in Dehradun is such that the day temperature is being recorded almost three times higher than the night temperature. The weather seems pleasant due to bright sunshine during the day, but the cold winds in the morning and evening are shivering. Due to these fluctuations in temperature, people are also facing health related problems.
Severe cold in the mountains, frost will increase the problem
The cold is more severe in the high altitude hilly areas, where the temperature has gone below 5 degrees Celsius. The weather department estimates that the weather pattern will remain like this for the coming few days. However, the incidence of frost may increase in the mountainous areas, which may further increase the problems of the local people.
