‘Was not asked to remove women workers from Eiffel Tower’, Swaminarayan organization clarifies after staff strike

The controversy related to the world famous Eiffel Tower located in Paris, the capital of France, is in the headlines these days. Recently, a big controversy had arisen over the fact that during the visit of people associated with an Indian organization, women employees were allegedly removed from there. Now an official statement has come out from BAPS (Bochasanvasi Akshar Purushottam) Swaminarayan Sanstha in this whole matter. The organization has clarified that no request was made from their side to remove or isolate any female employee and this has been fully proved in the investigation also.

Last month, a strange situation was seen at the historic Eiffel Tower in Paris, when the employees there suddenly went on strike. The employees alleged that when a group of about 100 people associated with BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha visited the Eiffel Tower, the women employees were allegedly removed from their assigned work area. Due to this protest and strike, the Eiffel Tower had to be completely closed for a day for tourists as a precaution, which created panic in the administration as well.

After this entire incident gained prominence, a clear statement has been issued by BAPS Paris. Representatives of the organization said that they have been maintaining this since the beginning that there was never any request from their side to hide, remove or isolate any female employee. The organization says that this matter has been investigated impartially, which clearly proves that no instructions were given by them regarding separation or removal of women on the route of movement of visitors. After this clarification, it is expected that the further situation on this dispute will become clear.
