Material:

  • Potato
  • Onion
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Coriander
  • Mustard
  • Oil
  • Jaggery
  • red chilli
  • Garam masala
  • Salt

Action:

  • To make potato soup, first peel the potato and cut it into thin pieces.
  • Add red chili powder, salt and turmeric to the chopped potatoes and keep it aside for a while.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and fry it with rye, asafetida, cumin and finely chopped garlic.
  • Then add finely chopped onion and fry till it turns red. After roasting onion, add finely chopped coriander and fry it.
  • After the onion is cooked, add garam masala, red chili powder and turmeric and mix well.
  • When the masala is well roasted, add potato pieces to it, add some water and cook.
  • After the potato is cooked, add jaggery to taste and mix. A simple spicy potato soup is ready.
