Various programs organized on Prohibition Day

Daughters: Many public awareness programs were organized including Prabhat Pheri, oath taking, public awareness rallies, seminars, essay/painting and debate competitions, oath taking.

In the light of the instructions of District Magistrate, Shri Dharmendra Kumar, various programs were organized today on the occasion of Prohibition Day with the aim of spreading awareness about de-addiction among the general public.

On this occasion, Prabhat Pheri was jointly taken out by the Excise and Registration Department and the Education Department from Shaheed Park to Vipin High School with the school students, which was flagged off by the Prohibition Superintendent, District Education Officer and District Legal Services Authority.

Also, Live Video Streaming program of de-addiction program was organized in the District Auditorium Room, Bettiah in the presence of the Honorable concerned Departmental Minister. During the Live Video Streaming program in the District Auditorium, Deputy Development Commissioner, Additional Collector, Additional Collector-cum-District Public Grievance Redressal Officer, Senior Deputy Collector, DPM Jeevika, Jeevika Didi and other officers/personnel were present.

He took an oath to make Bihar drug free. Through the program, the message was given that alcohol not only harms the physical and mental health of a person, but also has a deep negative impact on the family and society.

Public awareness rallies, seminars and oath-taking programs were organized in all schools, colleges and community groups in the district.

On the occasion of Prohibition Day, the District Officer appealed to all the citizens to stay away from drugs, make others aware about its ill effects and cooperate in building a healthy, safe and progressive society.

On the occasion of de-addiction, an essay/painting and debate competition was organized in the district through the Education Department, in which the children who secured first, second and third positions among the participants were awarded. Which is as follows-

In the essay competition, first, second and third prizes were awarded to Anushka Praveen, Higher Secondary School, Mahana Kuli, Ruksana Praveen, Sarvodaya Middle School, Bettiah, Gaurav Kumar, Kamal Shah High School, Nautan respectively.

In the painting competition, the first, second and third prizes were awarded to Disha Banerjee, Sarvodaya Middle School, Bettiah, Ankush Kumar, Kamal Shah High School, Nautan, Ritesh Kumar, Higher Secondary School, Ahwar Sheikh respectively.

In the debate competition, the first, second and third prizes were awarded respectively to Palak Kumari, Government Higher Secondary School, Dabriya, Shivani Kumari, Sarvodaya Middle School, Bettiah and Sagar Patel, Government Higher Secondary School, Sansariya, Aditya Kumar, Higher Secondary School, Mahna Kuli and Mohammad Aman Shah, Middle School, Krishnabagh.
