
Uttar pradesh: Officials said a 50 -year -old woman has been arrested for killing her husband along with her boyfriend and her two companions. The husband was a former soldier. The accused murdered him, cut his body six pieces and thrown him at different places on the banks of a river in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh.
The accused woman has been identified as Maya Devi, a resident of Bahadurpur. According to the police, she along with her lover Anil Yadav conspired to assassinate her husband Devendra Kumar, who is a retired personnel of the Indian Army’s BRO (Border Roads Organization) Wing. Two other people – Satish Yadav and a driver named Mithilesh have also been arrested to help in this crime.
Police said that on May 10, some parts of a mutilated body were found in Khairid village for the first time. The first severed organs were found, two days after that the nearby well was found. The deceased’s head is missing, and the divers of the police are searching in the Ghaghra River to find him.
The investigation began after Maya Devi lodged a missing complaint at the police station on 10 May, claiming that her husband had left for her daughter from Buxar railway station in Bihar, but never returned. His phone was allegedly closed.
During the investigation, the police matched the recovered tort with Devendra Kumar. After further interrogation, Maya Devi and her co-accused were taken into custody. Police said that the accused have admitted to throwing Devendra’s head into the Ghaghra river.
Two accused, including Anil Yadav, were arrested after an encounter with the police. Anil was shot in his leg during the encounter.
All four accused are currently in police custody and further investigation into the case is going on.
