According to the report of the news agency PTI, the case was related to the grazing of cattle, in which complainant Deepak Kumar Pasi objected to the grazing of the cattle of another villager in his field. This objection was attacked by Deepak and his family, including his wife Sumitra, elder brother and mother.
Deepak is a landless Dalit farmer And he cultivates urad on share in a local villager’s field.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhimanyu Manglik said, “When Deepak complained about Rajaram Yadav’s cattle grazing in his field, Rajaram became angry.”
He said, “He abused the lamp and beat him with sticks and iron rods with the help of others.”
The complaint lodged with the police said that Sumitra was caught by her hair and dragged her clothes, her clothes were removed and beaten.
Deepak and Sumitra were admitted to the hospital due to serious injuries and four other members of their family were discharged after minor treatment.
According to the police, a case has been registered against a total of six people in this case. A case has been registered against Rajaram Yadav, Diljit Yadav, Arvind Yadav, Rajendra Yadav, Parvati Devi and Tara Devi.
