These rates are decided on the basis of crude oil prices in the international market and fluctuations in the value of the rupee against the dollar. New fuel prices have come into effect in various districts of Uttar Pradesh on the morning of July 30. Impact of rise in crude oil and under-recovery

Constant fluctuations are being seen in the prices of crude oil in the global market. There has been a huge increase in the costs of oil companies as the price of crude oil has increased from the level of $64-65 per barrel to around $115 per barrel. According to Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, pressure on oil marketing companies has increased due to under-recovery. This change is being seen in fuel rates due to international conditions and currency exchange rates.
