Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced that two more organizations associated with the Hurriyat Conference promoting separatism in Jammu and Kashmir have now expressed confidence in India’s unity and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He has called it a major victory of peace and unity in Kashmir.

Two more organizations associated with Hurriyat broke down

Amit Shah shared this information on social media platform X (Twitter) and wrote:

“Another great news from the Kashmir Valley. Two more groups associated with Hurriyat, J&K Tehreeki Istakelal and J&K Tehreek-e-Itikamat have abandoned separatism and expressed their trust in the new India built by Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji.”

Shah insisted that separatism is taking its last in the Modi government and the echo of unity is heard in the whole of Kashmir.
Earlier on Tuesday, he had also reported that the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) and J&K Democratic Political Movement (JKDPM) also broke into separatist ideology.
The Home Minister has credited this change to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his visionary policies.

Ghulam Nabi Sophie’s big statement

Ghulam Nabi Sophie, head of Jammu and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Estrallal, also announced to quit separatism. He said:

“I continued the struggle despite all the difficulties, but neither the Gilani faction nor the Mirwaiz faction met the expectations of the general public. They failed at every step to represent the feelings of the people.”

“I had broken ties with separatist ideology long ago and today I officially condemn it. I am a true and committed citizen of India and have full faith in the Indian Constitution.”

Sophie clarified that he will no longer be connected to any separatist organization or ideology.
He said that the Hurriyat Conference has always ignored the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.

Mohammad Sharif Sartaj’s attack on Hurriyat Conference

Two days ago, Mohammad Sharif Sartaj, head of Jammu -based ‘J&K Freedom Movement’, had also announced to break away from separatism.

He completely rejected the ideology of All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC), saying that this organization has completely failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Describing himself as a loyal citizen of India, Sartaj pledged to be devoted to maintaining national unity and integrity.
He also announced the dissolution of his separatist organization ‘J&K Freedom Movement’ (JKFM).

Kashmir moves towards the end of separatism

With this announcement of Amit Shah, it has become clear that the hold of separatist ideology in Kashmir is now getting weaker.

The strict policies and development works of the Modi government have weakened the separatists.
In the last few years, many former separatist leaders have joined the mainstream politics.
Now the wave of peace and unity in the valley is intensifying, causing a deep injury to terrorism and separatism.
