
Two pilgrims died at Galta Kund, Jaipur : Two devotees died due to drowning at Galtaji Kund pilgrimage site in Jaipur, Rajasthan on Shravan Monday. The deceased have been identified as cousins. When both the brothers came to take water in Galtaji, they had to take a bath in the pond. Meanwhile, due to heavy rains, the water level in the pond increased and both of them drowned. After this, the Civil Defense personnel conducted a search operation in the pond for hours and the bodies of both were taken out.
He died after taking a bath in a tank
The incident took place at 1 pm today (12 August) at Galtaji Kund in Jaipur, where three friends reached the pilgrimage site to seek alms. Meanwhile, Galtaji saw his fellow devotees bathing on the stairs and fell straight into the pond. Due to heavy rain, both the youths had to take a bath in the pond despite the refusal of the people present there. In which both of them started drowning in a short time.
What did the police say on the incident?
A police officer said that the deceased have been identified as Sonu Koli (20) and Rahul Koli (23), both of whom are residents of Sawai Madhavpur and are relatives. The civil defense team has taken out the bodies of both of them from the water and sent them to the hospital for post-mortem.
