In his own style, President Trump compared this new project with the historical buildings of China and Britain. Referring to his recent visit to China, Trump said, “I was recently in the ‘Great Hall’ of China. Their ballroom is very huge and beautiful. We don’t have anything like that now, but the ballroom we are going to build now will outweigh all the other places in the world.” He also mentioned the grandeur of Britain’s Windsor Castle and said that America’s new ballroom will be more modern than all these.
Will be safe even from missiles and drones, will be ready in 2028
On the security front, this new ballroom will be like an impenetrable fort. Trump called it the most beautiful and historic building in Washington. He claimed that this new structure will be completely missile-proof, bulletproof and drone-proof. Keeping national security paramount, the advice of top military officers and generals is being taken in designing this project.
This mega-project is expected to be completed by mid-2028. In a befitting reply to his critics, Trump clarified, “Some people are saying that I am building this for myself, but the reality is that I am building this for future presidents of the United States, so that they can hold swearing-in ceremonies and state ceremonies in a safe environment.”
