
The Meteorological Department (IMD) has given very big and relief news for the people of Jharkhand who are facing the scorching heat and humidity. Due to increased activity of south-west monsoon, the weather pattern has completely changed in the entire state. The Meteorological Center has today issued a warning of torrential rain and severe thunderstorm with lightning in many parts of the state. In view of this changing weather, ‘Orange Alert’ has been issued in 14 sensitive districts of the state including the capital Ranchi and Gumla. The wind speed is expected to be very high in these areas, due to which normal life may be affected.
Danger of celestial disaster is looming over these 14 districts including Ranchi and Gumla
According to the latest bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department, heavy accumulation of clouds has started in the central and southern parts of Jharkhand. The 14 districts for which orange and yellow alerts have been specifically issued include the capital Ranchi, Gumla, Khunti, Simdega, Lohardaga, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Dhanbad, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan, Latehar and Palamu. There is a strong possibility of extremely heavy rains along with thunder in some areas of these districts, which may lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas.
Storm will move at a speed of 50 to 60 km, administration is strict regarding lightning
Along with the rain of relief, this weather is also bringing with it big troubles. According to meteorologists, there is a possibility of strong dust storm at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour in these districts during the rains. The biggest danger is that of lightning (Vajrapat), which often causes loss of life and property during monsoon in Jharkhand. The Disaster Management Department and the local administration have appealed to the people to take shelter in safe pucca houses during the inclement weather and completely avoid going near electric poles, tall trees or water bodies.
Huge drop in mercury, great relief from scorching sun and humidity
For the last several days, the temperature in most parts of Jharkhand was crossing 40 degrees Celsius, due to which people were drenched in sweat and there were heat waves in the afternoon. But due to sporadic rains and cold winds in the last 24 hours, a huge drop of 4 to 6 degrees Celsius has been recorded in the maximum temperature. Due to the movement of dense dark clouds in the sky since morning, the weather has remained very pleasant, due to which great happiness is being seen on the faces of people and children going out for morning walks.
Smiles returned on the faces of farmers, preparations for paddy cultivation intensified
With the arrival of these heavy pre-monsoon and monsoon rains, the faces of farmers and farmers of Jharkhand have brightened up. As soon as the fields that were yearning for farming got water, the farmers have intensified preparations for threshing of paddy and sowing of Kharif crops.
