Ranchi. There are chances of getting relief soon from the scorching heat that has been prevailing in Jharkhand for the last several days. Meteorological Center Ranchi has forecast a drop of 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature during the next five days i.e. 28, 29, 30 April and 1-2 May. Along with this, Orange and Yellow alerts have also been issued in view of the possibility of strong wind, lightning and rain in many districts.
Orange Alert in these districts, wind will blow at a speed of 50-60 km/h
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the southern and central parts of the state on April 28. There has been a warning of thunderstorm and lightning at some places in East and West Singhbhum, Simdega, Seraikela Kharsawan, Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Gumla, Bokaro, Khunti, Lohardaga, Koderma and Dhanbad. Yellow alert is in effect for wind speed of 40 to 50 km per hour in the remaining districts and this situation may continue till May 3.
44.9 degrees in Daltonganj, mercury crosses 40 in 8 districts
At present, heat wave continues in the entire state. The temperature has crossed 40 degrees Celsius in 8 districts including the capital Ranchi. The highest temperature was recorded at 44.9 degrees in Daltonganj, 44 degrees in Seraikela Kharsawan, 43.4 degrees in Chaibasa, 41.6 degrees in Jagannathpur, 41.5 degrees in Jamshedpur and 40.2 degrees Celsius in Ranchi.
Ranchi weather forecast for next 4 days
According to meteorologist Abhishek Anand, the maximum temperature in the capital Ranchi is expected to be 38 degrees Celsius on April 28 and 29, 37 degrees on April 30 and 36 degrees Celsius on May 1. The minimum temperature will be between 23 to 24 degrees. Except the northwestern districts of Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra and Latehar, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the remaining districts.

The Meteorological Department has appealed to the general public to be especially cautious regarding lightning. Do not leave the house in the afternoon, keep drinking enough water and protect yourself from sunlight. It is especially important to take special care of children, elderly and sick people. The scenic hilly area of Godda recorded 60.2 mm rainfall on Monday, which was the highest in the state.
