There is a threat to the security of schools in Poland: For the third time within a week, a woman attacked the school with a sharp weapon.

On Saturday, a woman attacked with a sharp weapon inside a school in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, seriously injuring three people. The most frightening thing is that this is the third attack on educational institutions in Poland within the last one week. 21 year old woman did a horrific act in higher secondary school

According to information received from international news agency AP, on Saturday a 21-year-old woman suddenly attacked with a dangerous weapon inside a Higher Secondary Education Institute in Warsaw. Three people including a 17 year old girl have been seriously injured in this attack. However, it is a matter of relief that according to the police, none of the injured have suffered life-threatening injuries and everyone’s condition is out of danger. Keeping security reasons in mind, the local police has not yet disclosed the name of this educational institution, but heavy police force has been deployed in the entire area.

Three major attacks in a week, security increased in schools across the country

In the last few days, there have been continuous attacks targeting schools in Poland. Earlier on Wednesday, a 19-year-old student of a vocational school attacked his classmates, teachers and passers-by with a sharp weapon and injured nine people. The very next day, on Thursday, in another province, a 15-year-old boy attacked his old school with a knife, killed the school custodian and injured two other people. The entire country is shocked by these continuous incidents. In view of the increasing tension, the Polish government and police administration have started reviewing the security arrangements of about 50,000 schools across the country and so far about 76 people have been detained.

Classes postponed in many schools amid rumors of ‘Bloody Friday’

Last Thursday night, the rumor spread rapidly on social media, in online parent groups and in the mainstream media that there could be more major and planned attacks across the country on Friday. As a precautionary measure amid the terror of this so-called ‘Bloody Friday’, classes were completely suspended on Friday in about 59 schools around the capital, including the Mazovian district. Many parents voluntarily refused to send their children to school. Police patrolling has been increased in schools and tight security arrangements are being made to ensure the safety of children and teachers.
