The Ministry of External Affairs has said that the case of Nimisha Priya in Yemen is sensitive. The Government of India is providing all possible assistance in this matter. In New Delhi today, ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that the Government of India has also appointed a lawyer. The government is in constant touch with local authorities and family members to resolve the issue. Yemeni officials have postponed Nimisha’s hanging tomorrow.
On the UK-India Free Trade Agreement, Mr. Jaiswal said that the talks are moving well and the next round of talks will be held in Delhi in February.
Regarding 16 Indians missing in Russia, Mr. Jaiswal said that India is in regular contact with Russian officials in New Delhi and Moscow.
