Shimla: A heart-wrenching incident that has put the temple of education to shame has come to light from Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. Here, the headmaster and two teachers of a government school are accused of exceeding all limits of cruelty with an eight-year-old Dalit child for months. Not only was the innocent boy brutally beaten, but it is alleged that a scorpion was even put in his pants.
On the complaint of the child’s father, the police have registered a case against three teachers including the headmaster under serious sections and have started investigating the matter.
What are the heart-wrenching allegations?
According to the complaint, this case pertains to a government primary school in Khadapani area of Rohru sub-division. The victim child studies in first class. The child’s father has alleged in his complaint that the school Headmaster Devendra And two teachers, Babu Ram And Kritika Thakurhad been continuously torturing and beating his son for the last one year.
The father told that due to repeated beatings by teachers his son Bleeding started coming from his ears and his eardrum also burst. The brutality did not stop here. It is alleged that once the teachers took the child to the school toilet and put a live scorpion inside his pants.
Case registered under these serious sections
After receiving the complaint, the police took strict action against the three accused teachers and registered a case under several serious sections.
- Indian Judicial Code (BNS): Under this, sections like wrongful confinement, intentionally causing grievous hurt, threatening and committing collective crimes have been imposed.
- Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act: A case has also been registered under this Act for cruelty to a child.
- SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act: Since the case pertains to a Dalit student, sections of the SC/ST Act have also been imposed on the teachers, which include serious offenses like forced removal of clothes and humiliation.
The family received death threats for complaining
The father of the victim child has also alleged that the accused teachers first threatened his son that if he told anything at home, they would get him arrested by the police. When the father decided to report the matter, he too was given death threats.
According to the father, on October 30, the headmaster threatened him, saying, “If this matter comes out, you and your family will have to suffer badly… we will burn youThey were also warned that if they complained to the police or posted the incident on social media, They may lose their lives. The police are now investigating all these allegations and threats thoroughly.
