There is a great news for both railway passengers and railway officials running on Gorakhpur-Dorighat railway line! The Northeast Railway has achieved an important achievement, which will now make the movement of trains on the Sajanwa-Dorighat route even more smooth. Now there will be no need to change or reverse the engine of trains at Dorighat station, which will save the passengers about 30 to 45 minutes of precious time.
Actually, trains at Dorighat station had to change the direction of their engine to come or move from Gorakhpur. It was a long and time -consuming process, due to which trains had to stop here for 30 to 45 minutes. It was also a complex task for loco pilots (train drivers), as they had to change the engine by reaching the station, which delayed the operation and also reduced the operational efficiency.
To solve this problem, the North Eastern Railway has constructed a new ‘loop line’ in Dorighat. With the operation of this loop line, trains can now be sent directly to their destination, without the engine. Chief Public Relations Officer – CPRO Pankaj Kumar Singh, while confirming this development, said that now trains at Dorighat will not need to stop and change the direction of engine. This will increase the speed of trains, will be easier to operate and most important, passengers will be left.
The ‘hassle of the engine turning back on the Gorakhpur-Dorighat railway line’, now 30 minutes will be left!
This new change is an important milestone in the operation of the newly constructed track of Sajanwa-Dorighat. This means that more trains will be able to run more on this route in future, which will improve connectivity. This is a technical improvement for the railways that will provide better and fast travel experience to passengers, especially for those who use this important railway line.
